Challenges Faced in Implementing Technology in Education in Uganda

Image
By Aita Ben Able Technology has become an essential tool in modern education across the world. It enhances teaching, improves access to information, and prepares learners for the digital age. In Uganda, the government has made efforts to introduce Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in schools through policies, computer labs, and the inclusion of ICT in the curriculum. However, the full implementation of technology in education still faces numerous challenges. 1. Limited Access to Electricity A large number of schools, especially in rural areas, do not have reliable electricity. Computers, projectors, and other digital devices require constant power to function. Without stable electricity, schools are unable to consistently use technology in teaching and learning. 2. High Cost of ICT Equipment and Internet Technology is expensive to acquire and maintain. Many schools cannot afford to purchase computers, tablets, or smart boards. On top of that, internet data in Uganda is cos...

The Role of Technology in Education

One of the biggest changes in education today is the introduction of technology. Technology has transformed classrooms, improved access to learning, and made education more engaging and effective. In this article, we will explore the many roles that technology plays in education. 1. Expanding Access to Education One of the greatest benefits of technology is that it removes barriers to education. 15 Things Emotionally Intelligent People Do Differently

Image
We live in a world filled with pressure, constant change, and emotional triggers. Some people seem to move through these challenges with calmness and wisdom. What sets them apart? The answer is Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Unlike IQ, which focuses on intellect, EQ is about understanding, managing, and using emotions effectively. It influences how we handle stress, build relationships, resolve conflict, and make decisions. People with strong emotional intelligence don’t avoid emotions—they master them. Here are 15 things emotionally intelligent people do differently that we can all learn from: 1. They choose calm over chaos . In tough moments, they stay composed instead of letting pressure control them. Their calmness creates clarity for themselves and others. 2. They listen to understand . Rather than waiting for their turn to speak, they listen deeply—valuing other perspectives before responding. 3. They set healthy boundaries without guilt . Protecting peace of mind is essential. The Harsh Truths About MEN Nobody Wants to Admit

Image
I found this interesting.... 1. Men are only loved based on what they provide.  A man without money, status, or value is invisible to society—even to his own family. 2. Men don’t get sympathy, only expectations.  A struggling man is mocked, not helped. The world doesn’t care about his pain—only his productivity. 3. If a man fails, he is on his own.  No safety net, no pity. A failed man is seen as useless, even by those who once praised him. 4. Men are only as good as their last achievement.  Your past success means nothing if you can’t maintain it. The moment you fall, you become irrelevant. 5. Nobody teaches men how to deal with emotions.  Society says “Be a man,” but never explains how to handle pain, stress, or heartbreak. 6. Men are judged by results, not effort.  Nobody cares how hard you try—if you don’t succeed, you’re just making excuses. 7. Men must build themselves from scratch.  No handouts, no shortcuts. A man must create his ...
